In order to preserve and promote Kashmiri culture, special attention is paid towards making children aware and knowledgeable about our cultural heritage. Time and again school children are chosen to participate in various cultural competitions and festivals organized by Cultural Wing, Department of Information, Government of Jammu & Kashmir. To bring out singing talent, children are encouraged to actively take part in Music competitions held by Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art & Culture, Saz Aur Awaaz and various other cultural organizations. Students also participate actively in programs conducted by other private institutions such as Shirin, by Delhi Public School, Athwajan.
